Zamfara Assembly Elects Speaker, Deputy
Representatives of Zurmi North and Gumi 2 constituencies, Biliyaminu Moriki and Adamu Aliyu, have emerged the Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the Zamfara State House of Assembly, respectively.
The Speaker and his Deputy emerged unopposed as they were unanimously chosen.
The election was presided by the clerk of the State House of Assembly, Shehu Saidu Anka, who asked the new Speaker to swear in other members after taking his oath of office.
The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP won seventeen seats in the Zamfara State House of Assembly in the last general election while the All Progressives Congress, APC won the remaining seven.
