The United States Embassy in Abuja has reopened its newly redesigned American Centre, aiming to serve as a hub for education, innovation, and cultural exchange between the U.S. and Nigeria.

In a statement on Wednesday, U.S. Ambassador to Nigeria, Richard M. Mills, Jr., said the upgraded space celebrates American arts and values while offering Nigerian youths opportunities to learn new skills and develop professionally. He highlighted programs in educational advising, entrepreneurship, and digital literacy available at the centre.

The facility features updated technology, flexible learning areas, and murals reflecting American history and shared democratic ideals.

Country Public Diplomacy Counsellor Lee McManis noted that the Abuja centre joins 29 other American Spaces across Nigeria, reinforcing people-to-people ties and providing a venue for open dialogue and skill development.

The reopening underscores the Embassy’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations through cultural and educational engagement.
