2027: ADC releases receipt of Atiku’s N90m form payment

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has confirmed that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has paid for his presidential nomination form ahead of the 2027 general election.
In a statement posted on its official X account on Saturday, the party said Atiku had received his payment receipt for the form, which costs ₦90 million. A copy of the receipt, dated Friday, May 8, 2026, showed the transaction was completed via bank draft.
The ADC described the development as a significant moment in what it called a growing movement for national renewal and people-driven leadership.
“As Nigerians continue to seek credible alternatives, the ADC remains committed to providing a strong platform built on unity, competence, economic recovery, security, and national progress,” the party said.
According to the ADC, the formal presentation of nomination forms to Atiku is expected to take place on Monday at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja.
The party added that the movement was growing and urged Nigerians to expect more political developments in the coming days.
Atiku’s payment signals an early move in the unfolding 2027 presidential contest, as political parties begin to activate structures and test alliances ahead of the national vote.
