An Assistant Director in the agency’s Investigation and Enforcement Directorate, Kunle Ojo, disclosed this in a video recorded during an enforcement operation at 322B Meiran Road, Agbado

Over 100 sacks of empty bottles were discovered and destroyed to prevent their reuse in the production of counterfeit alcoholic drinks.

The discovery was made during an enforcement operation following credible intelligence about illicit activities at the location.

NAFDAC officials said the facility was being used to supply empty bottles to suspected counterfeiters for refilling with fake products.

The agency urged Nigerians to report suspected cases of counterfeiting to the nearest NAFDAC office.
