Cavista Technologies has announced the return of its annual hackathon, scheduled for February 21–22, 2026, at the Welcome Centre Hotel in Ikeja, Lagos.
The two-day event aims to identify and nurture tech talent by bringing together undergraduate students from selected tertiary institutions in Lagos and surrounding areas. Participants will form teams to develop solutions to real-world challenges during a 24-hour coding marathon.
The General Manager of Cavista Technologies, Oyebola Morakinyo, stated that the hackathon seeks to “discover, empower and celebrate Nigeria’s tech talents” by providing a platform for innovation and problem-solving. Winners will receive cash prizes worth millions of naira.
This year’s edition will be supported by the Ministry of Youth Development and will feature mentoring from tech leaders, including Iyinoluwa Aboyeji, co-founder of Andela and Future Africa. The event will also run simultaneously in Cavista’s offices in the United States, India, and Botswana.
The hackathon reflects Cavista Technologies’ commitment to fostering digital skills and innovation among young professionals in Nigeria.
