VIDEO: Rivers Governor Fubara Refuses to Comment After APC Screening

Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State on Sunday refused to speak with journalists following his appearance before the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship screening committee in Abuja.

The governor appeared before the committee at the Plateau State Governors’ Lodge as part of the screening process for sitting governors seeking re-election ahead of the 2027 general elections.

When approached by reporters after the session, Fubara simply responded, “No comment,” and declined to provide further details about the exercise.

The APC Governorship Screening Committee was led by the party’s National Chairman, Nentawe Yilwatda.

Fubara’s participation in the screening comes amid ongoing political developments in Rivers State as the next election cycle approaches.

A video clip of the governor’s brief exchange with journalists has since been circulated.
