Abia Begins Reallocation of New Shops at Ekeoha Shopping Complex in Aba

The Abia State Ministry of Trade and Commerce has commenced the reallocation exercise for newly-built shops at the Ekeoha Shopping Complex in Aba, in partnership with Rhino Homes and Properties Limited.

The exercise is open only to individuals who have fully paid for shops in the Phase One development of the complex.

According to an official announcement, eligible participants include existing shop owners affected by the redevelopment whose original allocation certificates are listed in the Market Register, as well as new applicants who obtained preliminary clearance from Rhino Homes or the ministry.

Applicants seeking full clearance and reallocation must provide documented evidence of previous ownership or preliminary clearance, along with proof of full payment for shop allocation.

The reallocation exercise will run from May 7 to May 14, 2026. Interested participants can complete the process either online or physically.

For online participation, applicants are to visit abiamrv.com.ng to fill out forms and upload required documents using an active email address. Those opting for physical verification are to visit the GADA Building at No. 3 River Avenue, Aba, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. on working days, bringing original and duplicate copies of their documents along with a valid national identity card.

The ministry assured that all validated allocations would be entered into the official Market Register, after which Certificates of Allocation would be issued by the Ministry of Trade and Commerce.

The Ekeoha Shopping Complex redevelopment is part of the state government’s ongoing efforts to modernise commercial infrastructure in Aba and improve trading conditions for business owners.
