Kefas Wins APC Governorship Ticket in Taraba

Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State has secured the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship nomination ahead of the upcoming election.

Results from the primary election held in the state showed Kefas polling 166,357 votes, while his closest rival, Mu’azu Jaji, finished a distant second with 4,110 votes.

Speaking after the declaration on Friday, the governor described the outcome as a win for democracy and urged all party members and supporters to unite. He stated that the contest was over and emphasised the need for collective action to drive continued development across the state.

Kefas expressed appreciation to the APC leadership at all levels for their confidence in his administration. He also thanked the people of Taraba State for their trust and cooperation, pledging to remain committed to good governance.

The governor reaffirmed his intention to lead with fairness, humility, and dedication to public welfare. He promised to build on the achievements of his administration and sustain policies aimed at improving the lives of residents.
