Federal Government Launches ‘Rev360’ Digital Platform to Modernize Tax Administration

The Federal Government has officially launched Rev360, a comprehensive digital tax administration platform designed to simplify taxpayer interactions, boost voluntary compliance, and strengthen national revenue collection.

The platform was unveiled at the headquarters of the Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS) in Abuja before an audience of senior policymakers, development partners, business associations, and tax consultants. The initiative forms a core part of ongoing institutional reforms aimed at modernizing Nigeria’s fiscal infrastructure.

Delivering remarks on behalf of the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr. Taiwo Oyedele, Permanent Secretary Mohammed Danjuma described the roll-out as a significant leap forward. He emphasized that making compliance straightforward allows businesses to redirect their resources away from bureaucratic bottlenecks and toward productivity and growth, ultimately fostering a more predictable environment for investors.

Similarly, the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Jumoke Oduwole, noted that the platform serves as a vital structural building block toward the administration’s long-term goal of driving the economic GDP above the $1 trillion threshold by significantly enhancing the ease of doing business.

Executive Chairman of the NRS, Zacch Adedeji, framed the launch as a structural turning point for the agency. He stated that the NRS is actively transitioning from a traditional accounting and collection setup into a tech-driven organization focused on building future-ready systems.

Technical executives from the agency outlined that Rev360 acts as a centralized, one-stop ecosystem. It integrates several key processes that have historically functioned in isolation:

* Taxpayer registration and profiling

* Self-assessment and automated filing

* Real-time payment processing and reporting

* Audit and compliance management

 * Taxpayer support services and operational data analytics

Officials emphasized that by shifting from basic digital administration to intelligent, data-driven workflows, the platform minimizes operational disruptions for companies while giving the government clearer fiscal insights.

The deployment of Rev360 arrives at a critical juncture. The NRS previously cautioned that lingering leakages, delayed remittances, and weak compliance frameworks among certain public and sub-national institutions pose a direct challenge to the federation’s ₦40 trillion revenue generation target for 2026.
