Switzerland Steps in as Potential Venue for US-Iran Peace Agreement

The Swiss government has officially offered to host the formal signing of a potential peace agreement between the United States and Iran, aiming to finalize a diplomatic breakthrough that could end the ongoing conflict between the two nations.

The Swiss Foreign Ministry confirmed it is actively coordinating with both Washington and Tehran to support a Memorandum of Understanding.

The proposed framework is designed to solidify a current truce and establish a permanent path toward regional de-escalation. Given its long-standing diplomatic role, Switzerland has put itself forward as the host venue for the signing ceremony, pending final approval from both parties.

Developments have moved rapidly following statements from a senior U.S. administration official, who indicated that Washington feels highly confident estimating an 80% to 85% probability of finalizing an accord with Tehran in the coming days.

International mediation efforts have also drawn support from Pakistan. Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif confirmed that negotiators have successfully reached a consensus on the final text of the peace agreement.

The proposed deal represents a major diplomatic push to conclude hostilities, with Switzerland positioned to provide the neutral ground necessary to seal the historic accord.
