FRSC Promotes 7,472 Personnel to Strengthen Road Safety Operations Nationwide
The Federal Road Safety Corps has approved the promotion of 7,472 personnel across the country as part of efforts to enhance professionalism, leadership capacity, and operational efficiency within the organisation.
The promotion exercise covers 2,134 officers and 5,338 marshals who were elevated based on merit, dedication, discipline, competence, and years of service. The initiative is aimed at rewarding outstanding performance while encouraging greater commitment to road safety management nationwide.
According to the Corps, newly promoted personnel will be formally decorated in their respective commands between August 26 and August 28, 2026. Relevant departmental heads, commanding officers, and unit leaders have been directed to oversee the decoration process.
Speaking on the development, the Corps Marshal described the promotion as both recognition and a call to higher responsibility. He urged beneficiaries to demonstrate stronger leadership, accountability, professionalism, and improved service delivery in their new positions.
He noted that the success of the FRSC depends not only on its operational assets and enforcement systems but also on the quality, commitment, and integrity of its workforce. He emphasized that personnel remain the foundation of the Corps’ mission to ensure safer roads and reduce traffic-related incidents across Nigeria.
The Corps Marshal further encouraged the promoted officers and marshals to maintain discipline, uphold the values of the organisation, and treat members of the public with respect and professionalism. He stressed that every new rank comes with increased expectations from the government, the Corps, and road users nationwide.
The promotion comes as the FRSC continues to expand its road safety campaigns, technological innovations, enforcement activities, and public awareness programmes aimed at improving compliance with traffic regulations and reducing road crashes.
The Corps reaffirmed that investing in a motivated and professionally developed workforce remains critical to achieving sustainable improvements in road safety and delivering quality service to Nigerians.
