Cross River APC Unveils Campaign Group to Boost Tinubu, Otu Re-Election Bid

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Cross River State has inaugurated a 30-member campaign committee aimed at mobilising support for President Bola Tinubu and Governor Bassey Otu ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The committee was launched in Calabar during a gathering attended by party leaders and supporters from across the state’s 18 local government areas.

Party officials said the initiative is designed to strengthen the APC’s grassroots presence, expand membership, and promote voter engagement at polling units, wards, and community levels.

Members of the committee were urged to focus on mobilisation efforts and ensure that the achievements and programmes of both the federal and state administrations are effectively communicated to residents.

The leadership of the party emphasized the importance of grassroots politics, noting that electoral success depends largely on performance at the polling-unit level and sustained engagement with voters.

Party stakeholders also called on committee members to intensify outreach activities and work towards securing broad support for the APC in future elections.

During the event, party leaders commended recent federal interventions in Cross River State and expressed confidence in the administration’s efforts to address key developmental and economic challenges.

The inauguration marks another step in the APC’s preparations for the 2027 elections as political parties continue to strengthen their structures and mobilisation strategies across the country.
