Ogun PDP Reps Candidate Pledges More Development Projects Ahead of 2027 Poll
Wale Ogunbanjo, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the Ijebu Central Federal Constituency in the 2027 general election, has promised to attract more development projects to the constituency if elected.
Speaking during the launch of his campaign in Ijebu-Ode, Ogunbanjo said his previous tenure in the House of Representatives was marked by several community-focused initiatives that positively impacted residents across the constituency.
The former lawmaker, who represented the federal constituency between 2003 and 2007, highlighted achievements from his earlier term, including the provision of motorised boreholes, educational support through scholarships and bursaries, healthcare infrastructure improvements, and community development projects in various parts of the constituency.
He said the projects reflected his commitment to grassroots development and effective representation, adding that he is seeking another opportunity to serve the people and expand on those efforts.
Ogunbanjo assured constituents in Ijebu-Ode, Odogbolu and Ijebu North-East Local Government Areas that their welfare would remain a priority if he returns to the National Assembly.
He also urged voters to support PDP candidates in the upcoming elections, expressing confidence that the party would provide quality leadership and responsive representation.
The campaign event was attended by prominent PDP leaders and supporters, including the party’s governorship and senatorial candidates in Ogun State, as well as other stakeholders who rallied support for Ogunbanjo’s bid.
