Ex-PDP National Chairman, Bamanga Tukur For Burial Sunday

The family of former Governor of the defunct Gongola State, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, has announced burial arrangements for the late elder statesman.

The family disclosed that Tukur’s remains will arrive in Yola, the Adamawa State capital, on Saturday.

In a statement by Awwal Tukur and released by the Chief Press Secretary to the Adamawa State Governor, Humwashi Wonosikou, the family said the former governor would be buried on Sunday, September 13, 2026.

According to the statement, funeral prayers will be held at the Lamido’s Palace at 10:00am before the burial.

The late elder statesman is survived by two wives and 18 children, including Awwal Tukur, the Secretary to the Adamawa State Government.

The family expressed appreciation for the outpouring of condolences following the death of the former governor.
