Sunday Dare Bags ‘Best Performing Minister’ Award
The minister of youth and sports development, Sunday Dare was on Wednesday night awarded the “best performing minister” prize at the Nigeria Sports Governor Merit Award and Nigeria Philanthropist Merit Award.
Dare, who was represented at the event held at the Shehu Yar’ Adua Centre in Abuja by his Bamiduro Olumide, the special assistant on policy, thanked the organisers for what he described as a special recognition accorded him.
“This award and the other awards I have received are some of the evidence of the commitment of the Buhari administration to the growth of the youth and sports sector,” the minister said.
“I am also grateful for the opportunity given me to serve and make an impact in the lives of our youth.”
Since his assumption of office in August 2019, Dare has introduced numerous programmes, initiatives, and policies that have positively impacted the youth and sports sectors in the country and led to success in international competitions.
