Abducted Ekiti School Children Regain Freedom

Abducted Children  and teachers of Apostolic Faith Nursery and Primacy School, Emure Ekiti have been released.

The children regained their freedom on Friday evening after four days in captivity.

It was gathered that the children were taken to the Palace of Elemure of Emure Ekiti after their release by their abductors.

It is unclear whether ransom was paid and how much.

Although the state Governor Mr Abiodun Oyebanji held security meetings daily since the Monday incidence while security operatives were deployed into the forest in search of the children. One hundred Amotekun operatives from Ondo State also joined in the rescue team.

Children of Apostolic Faith Nursery and Primary School were kidnapped by suspected herdsmen on Monday on their home from school. Two teachers and a bus assistant were also abducted by the armed men.
