Abia Governor, Naval Chief Commission Facilities At Navy College
The Nigerian Navy has commissioned a resurfaced parade ground, paved internal roads, a reconstructed swimming pool and a 10-bedroom Officers’ Transit Accommodation at the Nigerian Navy College of Accounts and Finance, NNCAF, Owerrinta, Abia State.
The projects were commissioned on October 26, 2026 by the Executive Governor of Abia State, Dr Alex Otti, alongside the Chief of the Naval Staff, CNS, Vice Admiral Idi Abbas, represented by the Flag Officer Commanding Naval Training Command, Rear Admiral EA Zipele.
Governor Otti commended the Nigerian Navy and congratulated the Commandant, NNCAF, Commodore Babatunde Usman Quadri, on the successful completion of the projects.
The CNS’s representative emphasised the importance of infrastructure to effective training and personnel welfare, urging the College to ensure proper maintenance of the facilities.
He said the projects reflect the Nigerian Navy’s commitment to improving training conditions and providing essential infrastructure to support personnel development and welfare.
