Approximately five hundred members of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Ado Ekiti Local Government have pledged support for the party’s governorship candidate, Ambassador Dare Bejide, and his running mate, Hon. Ayodeji Babatola, ahead of the June 20 election in Ekiti State.

The decision was reached during a strategy meeting held in Ado Ekiti, attended by ward chairmen, women and youth leaders, and local government executives.

Addressing the gathering, the ADC Chairman in Ado Ekiti, Hon. Awolokun Abdullahi, appealed for unity among members, urging those with grievances to reconcile for the party’s success.

He emphasized that a victory for the ADC would create opportunities for members, adding that the selection of a deputy governorship candidate from Ado Ekiti has addressed local aspirations for representation.

The Local Government Women Leader, Mrs. Folake Pius, encouraged women to begin house-to-house campaigns for the party’s candidates.

A party official, Hon. Emeka, assured members of adequate security during ward meetings and campaign activities.
