Adeleke Secures Decisive Early Victory at Polling Unit in Ede North

Incumbent Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, contesting under the Accord Party, achieved an early victory at his polling unit in Ede North Local Government Area as sorting and counting progressed in Saturday’s governorship election.

Official figures announced at Ward 02, Polling Unit 009, Abogunde Compound, show Adeleke securing 421 votes. The announcement triggered immediate celebrations among waiting supporters, who cheered the local victory as ballot sorting continued across the state.

Speaking to reporters earlier after casting his ballot at the unit, Adeleke expressed strong confidence in retaining his seat. Meanwhile, his primary opponent, Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress (APC), similarly voiced optimism regarding his prospects after voting at Ward 09, Polling Unit 011 in Ikire, Irewole Local Government Area.

The result marks one of the first official polling unit outcomes recorded as election officials continue uploading figures to the Independent National Electoral Commission’s central portal.
