Akeredolu Receives SouthWest Govs, Harps On Continuous Collaboration

Four Governors on Tuesday October 24, 2023 visited their Ondo State counterpart and Chairman of the Southwest Governors’ Forum, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, in Ibadan

The governors arrived separately at the Oyo State government Secretariat in Agodi, Ibadan, where Governor Makinde warmly received them in his private office.

Governor Sanwo-Olu arrived via a chartered helicopter before joining his fellow governors for the meeting.

Following their arrival, the four governors held a brief private meeting at the Oyo State governor’s office before departing.

The Governor’s later went to Akeredolu’ house in Jericho Ibadan to check on him.

The Governors present at the meeting were Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos, Prince Dapo Abiodun of Ogun, Engr. Seyi Makinde of Oyo, and Mr. Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti.

Governor Akeredolu in a statement by his CPS,  Richard Olatunde appreciated his colleagues for their solidarity and harped on continuous collaboration among the Southwest States.

Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde said the Forum is praying for Governor Akeredolu, adding that he has the support of all the Governors in the region.

The Governors discussed National and other Issues affecting the region and the people.
