Anambra State Government has appealed for public assistance in locating the family of Ms Happiness Ezennanya, an indigene of the state who was brought back to the state from Lagos by unknown persons.
The state Commissioner for Women and Social Welfare, Mrs Chinyere Onyekesi, made the appeal in a statement issued by the ministry’s media officer, Mr Dominic Michael,on Wednesday in Awka.
She said that Ezennanya was brought back from Lagos with her new born baby.
“A woman identified as Miss Happiness Ezennanya, from Anambra, has been brought back from Lagos state with her newborn baby.
“Unfortunately, she has been unable to provide vital information about her home or background, which has made it difficult for the authorities to trace her origin,” she said.
According to her, the Ministry for Women and Social Welfare is therefore urging members of the public to assist in the search for the family of Happiness Ezennanya, so that she can be reunited with them.
Onyekesi said that the only information obtained from Ezennanya was that she attended Awka Community Primary School and worshiped at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Awka.
She said that anyone with useful information that would aid the location of Ezennanya’s family should contact the state Ministry of Women and Social Welfare.
