APC, PDP Name Wike In Bayelsa Campaign Councils
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has named the Minister of the Federal Capital (FCT), Nyesom Wike as a member of its campaign council for the upcoming Bayelsa State governorship poll election.
Leading opposition party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had earlier included Wike, and the ex-governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom in its governorship election campaign council.
APC also named Wike as a member of the council when it set up campaign councils for the Bayelsa, Kogi, and Imo governorship polls billed for later in the year.
A circular from the ruling APC listed Governor Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State as the chairman of the party’s governorship campaign council in Bayelsa with Defence Minister Abubakar Badaru; Senate President Godsdwill Akpabio and Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) George Akume as co-chairmen.
