APC Stakeholders Describe Shettima’s Renomination as Reward for Loyalty

Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the North-East have described the renomination of Vice President Kashim Shettima as President Bola Tinubu’s running mate for the 2027 general election as a recognition of his loyalty, commitment, and hard work in office.

The party leaders stated this on Sunday during a youth celebration organized in Bauchi to support Shettima’s selection for the upcoming presidential ticket.

Speaking at the event, the Director-General of the BAT/KSM Progressive Alliance, Abubakar Zaid, represented by National Secretary Shettima Umar, stated that the Vice President has demonstrated steady dedication and competence since taking office. He highlighted Shettima’s contributions to key government initiatives, including his role as Chairman of the National Economic Council and his focus on education, food security, and enterprise development.

Also speaking at the rally, Mahmud Muhammad, Personal Assistant on Domestic and North-East Affairs to the Vice President, noted that Shettima’s position on the ticket is built on trust, administrative capacity, and national stability. Muhammad urged youths in the region to reject violence and political thuggery, encouraging them instead to focus on civic engagement, technology, and entrepreneurship.

The APC Chairman in Bauchi State, Muhammad Tilde, added that the current administration continues to make steady progress in addressing the country’s security and economic challenges ahead of the 2027 elections.
