APC Will Defeat PDP, NNPP In Kano- Gaya

Senator representing Kano south district, Kabiru Gaya has disclosed that the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) will not be a threat to the victory of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2023 elections.

Gaya, an ally of Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, spoke during an interactive session with journalists at his Kano residence, on Monday.

“In Kano, we have two political parties — the APC and the PDP. The PDP split into two with the Kwankwassiyya forming NNPP,” he said.

“We still have only APC and PDP in Kano. So, I am optimistic APC will win Kano in 2023.”

Though Gaya said Kawu Sumaila, NNPP senatorial candidate and his major challenger, is pulling crowd in Kano, he expressed hope that he will be re-elected.

“Kawu is doing well, but I have more crowd than him, and I believe I will win the election,” he said.

Gaya advised politicians to work for the interest and welfare of the people and stop engaging in vote buying.
