Aregbesola Affirms Marital Fidelity at Osun ADC Campaign Rally
Former Minister of Interior and National Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Rauf Aregbesola, has declared that he has remained completely faithful to his wife, Sherifat, throughout their marriage.
Addressing supporters during an ADC campaign rally in the Ejigbo Local Government Area of Osun State, the former governor framed his personal conduct as a reflection of his devotion to God. Speaking in Yoruba, he emphasized that his commitment to marital fidelity was a personal vow rooted in religious conviction.
Aregbesola noted that while such a statement is uncommon among public figures, his devotion to God has guided his personal conduct throughout his marriage. He also linked his personal integrity to his broader political aspirations for the state.
The declaration comes as political campaigning intensifies across Osun State ahead of the governorship election on August 15. The election features incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke competing against All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate Bola Oyebamiji and ADC candidate Najeem Folasayo Salaam.
