Best is yet to come, Sanwo-Olu tells Lagosians as he marks seventh anniversary

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has assured residents that his administration will intensify infrastructure, housing, healthcare, and security projects as he marks seven years in office.
In a statement issued on Friday, the governor declared that “the best is yet to come” and promised that his government would not rest on its oars. He said more would be done in providing quality roads, affordable housing, reliable healthcare, world‑class education, and a secure environment where businesses can thrive.
Sanwo-Olu thanked Lagos residents for their support and patience over the years, describing the journey of his administration as one built on shared sacrifice, resilience, and collective progress. He noted that seven years ago, the administration began with a clear vision to build a greater Lagos that works for all.
The governor said that despite global economic shocks, including the COVID‑19 pandemic and other social challenges, his administration had remained focused on delivering its THEMES+ Agenda. He also applauded President Bola Tinubu, stating that the president’s Renewed Hope Agenda had supported Lagos State’s progress in infrastructure, health, education, and empowerment.
Sanwo-Olu added that his administration had presented its scorecard to residents through ministerial press briefings held over the past month. He further urged residents to continue supporting government policies and called on private sector players and development partners to strengthen collaboration with the state government on sustainable development initiatives.
He also thanked civil servants, traditional rulers, religious leaders, community stakeholders, and members of the All Progressives Congress for their contributions to the growth of Lagos over the past seven years.
