BUA Foods Shareholders to Vote on ₦504 Billion Dividend Payout

BUA Foods Plc has announced that its shareholders will gather on July 15 for the company’s fifth Annual General Meeting (AGM) to vote on a proposed dividend payout of approximately ₦504 billion.

The meeting, scheduled to be held at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja, will see shareholders review the audited financial statements for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2025. The Board of Directors has recommended a dividend of ₦28.00 per ordinary share, reflecting a period of significant financial growth for the manufacturer.

According to the company’s 2025 financial report, BUA Foods recorded a revenue of ₦1.77 trillion, a 16 percent increase from the previous year. Profit after tax also saw a substantial rise of 95 percent, reaching ₦518.4 billion. Furthermore, the company reported a 27 percent growth in total assets, which now stand at ₦1.39 trillion, driven by ongoing investments in manufacturing capacity and operational efficiency.

Managing Director of BUA Foods Plc, Ayodele Abioye, attributed the firm’s success to a resilient strategy despite a challenging economic environment. “Despite a dynamic operating environment, BUA Foods continued to demonstrate resilience through disciplined execution and an unwavering commitment to delivering quality food products,” Abioye stated.

He emphasized that the upcoming AGM serves as a vital platform to engage with stakeholders regarding the company’s performance and future objectives. Looking ahead, Abioye indicated that the company remains focused on sustainable growth, with plans for continuous capacity expansion to strengthen food security and deliver long-term value to its investors.

BUA Foods, a major player in the consumer goods sector, specializes in the production and distribution of sugar, flour, pasta, rice, and edible oils. The company was formed in 2021 through the consolidation of key businesses within the BUA Group and is currently listed on the Nigerian Exchange Limited.
