The fishing vessel, Lupeng Yuanyu, 28, capsized in the central Indian Ocean on Tuesday, Xinhua reported.

The crew consisted of 17 Chinese nationals, 17 Indonesians and five Filipinos.

A search and rescue operation was launched.
