Court remands Timileyin Ajayi in prison for the murder of Salome Adaidu
A Nasarawa State High Court on Monday remanded a man, Timilehin Ajayi, at a correctional facility over the killing of his 24-year old girlfriend, Salome Adaidu
Ajayi, whose address was not given, is being charged with culpable homicide.
Ajayi was arraigned at the High Court of Justice, Lafia before Justice Simon Aboki on Monday.
The state Counsel, Stanley Ifeanyi, told the court that Ajayi killed Enejo, a member of the National Youth Service Corps, in the FCT.
Ifeanyi said that the offence violated Section 221 of the Penal Code Law of Northern Nigeria, and was punishable with death.
The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charge
