Dangote to Display Refinery at Nasarawa Trade Fair
Dangote Industries Limited will present its flagship petroleum refinery and petrochemical complex at the 2026 Nasarawa Trade Fair, scheduled to open on April 20, 2026.
Governor Abdullahi Sule is expected to officially declare the event open in the state capital, Lafia.
The company, which is the major sponsor of this year’s fair, said it will also highlight its Vision 2030 strategy focused on driving innovation and industrialisation across Africa.
According to a statement released on Thursday, other Dangote business units taking part include Dangote Cement, Dangote Sugar, Dangote Salt and seasonings, Dangote SinoTruk, Dangote Packaging, and Dangote Fertiliser.
Fatima Wali Abdurrahman, Regional Director and Senior Adviser to the Dangote Group President, described Nasarawa State as central to the Group’s investment footprint in Africa.
She noted that the state hosts the Dangote Nasarawa Sugar Company Limited, adding that the project once completed would rank among the largest sugar investments on the continent.
Mrs Abdurrahman said the trade fair offers a useful platform for the company to connect with stakeholders and Nigerians seeking business opportunities. A dedicated help desk will be available to handle inquiries, she added.
The Chairman of the Nigeria Association of Small-Scale Industrialists, Nasarawa State Chapter, Nidan Sambo Manasseh, said the fair’s theme — Unlocking Industrial Synergy: Deepening the Value Chain and Driving Inclusive Growth in Nasarawa State aligns with Dangote’s vision.
He described the event as a practical business and industrial development platform, not merely an exhibition.
A key feature of this year’s programme is the Empowerment Skill Acquisition Programme, a mobile training initiative running from July to December. It targets 2,000 beneficiaries across the state’s 13 local government areas.
Mr Manasseh said the group’s strategy aims to link local enterprise development with large-scale industrial systems.
