Delta Police Bust Drug Syndicate,’Madam Do Good’, Arrest teen cult suspect

The Delta State Police Command has intensified its crackdown on crime, dismantling a suspected drug syndicate and ,z*z and z**arresting a teenage cult suspect in separate operations across the state.

The operations were carried out under the leadership of the Commissioner of Police, Aina Adesola.

Police spokesperson, Bright Edafe, disclosed that operatives of the DOPS Buffalo Patrol Team, in collaboration with Achalla Ibusa Vigilantes, stormed a notorious hideout along Power Line area in Asaba on March 17.

The location was reportedly operated by a suspected drug baron popularly known as “Madam Do Good.”

During the raid, officers recovered various illicit substances, including suspected “Ice,” Colorado, Canadian Loud, Indian hemp, and tramadol.

At least four suspects — Faith Uyaterimo, Peter Nnamani, Paul Nnamani, and Abuchi Miracle — alongside three others, were arrested, while investigations are ongoing.

In a related development, operatives of the Ekpan Division, acting on credible intelligence, arrested an 18-year-old suspected cultist, Ovie Ejeh, on March 19 in Warri.

The suspect was apprehended around Ugbangwe College, where a locally fabricated cut-to-size single-barrel gun loaded with two live cartridges was recovered from him.

Police said the suspect confessed to being a member of a cult group during interrogation.

Speaking on the operations, CP Adesola charged Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) and tactical commanders to sustain proactive policing strategies aimed at tackling crime across the state.

“Drug dealers will be fished out from their hideouts and made to face the full wrath of the law,” the Commissioner warned.

The Command reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining law and order, urging residents to continue providing useful information to support ongoing security efforts.
