The Ekiti State High Court held a valedictory court session on Monday in honour of the late retired Justice John Ojo Akinyede, who passed away recently. The special sitting, held at the High Court premises in Ado-Ekiti, brought together senior members of the state’s judiciary and legal community.
In his tribute, the State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Dayo Apata, SAN, described the late jurist as a person of “uncommon integrity, discipline, and unwavering commitment to justice.” He stated that the gathering was not merely to mourn but to celebrate a life dedicated to service.
