Elephants kill one in Ogun community, lawmaker calls for calm
A member representing Ijebu East in the Ogun State House of Assembly, Waliu Ifedolapo, on Tuesday, called on residents to maintain calm over the killing of a farmer, Musa Kalamu by a herd of elephants.
A 50-year-old farmer, Kalamu, died on Monday following a fatal attack by six elephants in the Itasin community, located in the Ogbere area of Ogun State.
The development has triggered outrage in the community where human-animal conflicts have been recorded many times.
