Entrepreneur Demands N100m From Broadcaster Frank Edoho’s Estranged Wife Over Defamation Claims

An entrepreneur, Adekoya Ibukunoluwa, has initiated legal action against Sandra Edoho, demanding N100 million in damages over allegedly defamatory social media posts linking her to an extramarital affair with Sandra’s estranged husband, broadcaster Frank Edoho.

In a memorandum of claim issued by her legal team, Adekoya accused Sandra of libel, fraudulent misrepresentation, and breach of privacy regarding publications shared on an Instagram account. The document states that the issue traces back to late 2023, when Adekoya met Frank Edoho by chance at a Lagos lounge and exchanged contacts over a shared interest in football. The legal team alleges that Sandra subsequently impersonated her husband on WhatsApp to lure Adekoya to their residence, where she was temporarily locked in a room before Frank awoke, expressed shock at the situation, and apologized to Adekoya.

The claimant’s lawyers further stated that following a marital crisis between the couple in mid-2026, Sandra launched a deliberate online campaign, posting Adekoya’s photograph, private conversations, and videos to label her as an extramarital partner. The legal team characterized the posts as entirely false and malicious, asserting that the resulting online circulation subjected their client to severe cyberbullying and public ridicule.

The entrepreneur is seeking a formal retraction, an unreserved public apology, and an injunction against future defamatory statements, alongside the financial damages. Her legal team has offered a window for an out-of-court settlement under specific conditions, including a revised N20 million payment, giving the respondent seven days to respond before further litigation is pursued in the Lagos State High Court.
