FCCPC uncovers warehouse selling expired and mislabeled goods in Ekiti

The Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission has uncovered a warehouse in Ado-Ekiti where expired and mislabeled goods were being sold.
The FCCPC in a statement released on social media said its operatives raided the warehouse following intelligence reports.
The warehouse suspected of selling harmful products, including vegetable oils, cereals and other fast moving consumer goods.
The agency stated that during the raid, the FCCPC found evidence of expired goods still on the shelves, deceptive labels on products, fake barcodes and repackaged and potentially unsafe products
The FCCPC said the warehouse is now sealed, and the owners along with a supplier are being investigated and that appropriate enforcement actions will follow.
