Finally, Portable In Police Net
Controversial singer, Portable has been arrested by officers of the Ogun state police command over an alleged assault.
The ‘Zazoo Zeh’ crooner was arrested on Friday following the expiration of the 72-hour ultimatum given to him to turn himself in.
The state police spokesperson, Abimbola Oyeyemi said the singer is currently detained at the state headquarters of the police in Eleweran, Abeokuta.
“Yes. He was arrested today. Just this evening,” the police spokesperson said.
On Wednesday, Portable was given a three-day ultimatum to report himself to the police.
This was after the singer resisted attempts by the police to arrest him and also referred to himself as “a federal government liability”.
Oyeyemi earlier said that if the controversial singer — born Habeeb Okikiola — failed to surrender himself, the police will “go after him.”
