Four NYSC Members, Soldier Die in Adamawa Road Crash

A tragic road accident along the Yola–Mubi highway in Adamawa State has claimed the lives of four National Youth Service Corps members and a soldier.
The crash occurred on Wednesday around 1:50 p.m. in the Narehi area, located within Girei and Song Local Government Areas.
According to reports, a military gun truck traveling from Gombi toward Yola collided head-on with a commercial Hummer bus carrying five passengers from Yola to Mubi. The impact caused the bus to overturn and immediately burst into flames.
All five occupants of the commercial bus were burned beyond recognition. Among the deceased were four corps members serving in Adamawa State. Two have been identified as Suleiman Juliet and Usman Shuaibu, both from Kaduna State. The remaining two corps members and the bus driver are yet to be identified.
A soldier attached to the military vehicle also died in the collision.
Emergency responders and police officers evacuated the remains to a specialist hospital in Yola.
Authorities have extended condolences to the families of the victims, the Nigerian Armed Forces, and the NYSC.
