FRSC Announces Traffic Diversion on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway for Gantry Installation

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Ogun State has announced a temporary traffic diversion on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway to facilitate the installation of warning gantries on bridges along the route. The work, commissioned by the Federal Ministry of Works and executed by Buildwell Construction Company, is scheduled to intensify on Thursday, June 25, 2026.

According to the advisory issued by the FRSC, the construction will specifically impact the section of the expressway near the first bridge in front of Mountain Top University at Kilometer 13, heading toward Ibadan.

During this period, traffic management measures will be in place:

Cars, buses, pickup vans, and mini trucks will be diverted through the Magboro Under-Bridge to Ibafo, where they will rejoin the main expressway at the NASFAT U-turn.

Articulated vehicles will be temporarily held back for approximately one hour while the installation process is completed.

The FRSC has urged motorists to exercise patience and adhere strictly to the guidance of traffic officials stationed at the site. The agency apologized for any inconvenience caused by the diversion, noting that the installation is a necessary step to improve road safety infrastructure along the busy highway.
