FRSC Officials Return N3.7m, Other Valuables Recovered from Accident Scene

Officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Kaduna have returned N3,727,500 and other valuables recovered during a rescue operation following a road accident along the Zaria–Funtua highway.

The development was disclosed in a statement issued on Monday by the Corps Public Relations Officer, Felicia Kalu.

According to the statement, the accident occurred on Sunday, March 15, 2026, near Zaria Academy when two vehicles carrying nine passengers collided, leaving one person dead and eight others injured.

The FRSC said its personnel responded promptly to the distress call, provided emergency assistance at the scene, and evacuated the injured victims to the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital, Shika, for treatment.

The statement added that during the rescue operation, officers recovered cash and other personal belongings at the scene of the crash.

The items were secured and later handed over to their rightful owners under the supervision of the Zaria Unit Commander, Nasiru A. Falgore.

The corps reiterated its commitment to professionalism, transparency, and the protection of lives and property during rescue operations.
