Fubara swears-in new Attorney General vows to probe Wike’s 8yrs administration

Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara vowed to probe the eight-year administration of his predecessor, Nyesom Wike from 2015 to 2023.

This followed Wike’s determination to continue to control politics of the South-South state has led to a serious crisis between the duo.

Speaking on Monday during the swearing-in of Dagogo Israel Iboroma as the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice of the 57-year-old state, Fubara disclosed that the State Government would set up a Panel of Enquiry to probe the eight-year administration of Wike.

A faction of the Rivers State House Of Assembly led by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Victor Oko Jumbo had earlier screened and confirmed Iboroma as Commissioner inside the Rivers State Government House, Port Harcourt.

Fubara immediately administered oath of office on Iboroma as the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice with a promise to probe Wike.

The Governor charged the newly sworn-in Commissioner to be prepared for what is ahead, stressing that he will be overseeing the setting up of a panel of enquiry to probe the activities of the Wike administration.

Iboroma replaces Professor Zaccheus Adangor (SAN), a Wike loyalist, who resigned when he was redeployed to the Ministry of Special Duties (Governor’s office) weeks ago
