Fuji Legend Remi Aluko Goes Blind
Nigerian Fuji musician Remi Aluko has opened up about his ongoing battle with glaucoma, disclosing that he has completely lost his sight.
The Fuji legend, in a deeply emotional interview on Oyinmomo TV, shared the devastating update about his health.
According to the singer, he went blind despite having undergone eye surgery in the past to halt the progression of the disease.
Speaking with raw vulnerability about his daily reality, he shared that “there’s no difference between a blind person and me.”
“I’m a glaucoma patient. I’m managing myself; I’m currently not seeing. Despite being a glaucoma patient, many people don’t know. There’s no difference between me and a blind person now, but no one knows because I don’t let my condition weigh me down.
“Thank God that I know how to take care of myself like someone who can see. I decided not to dwell on my condition because I don’t want to be depressed,” he said.
