FUTES Vice Chancellor Announces Closure of Admission and Recruitment 

The Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology and Environmental Sciences (FUTES), Iyin Ekiti, Professor Gbenga Aribisala, has stated that the institution has completed admission and staff recruitment for the 2025/2026 academic session.

Speaking on Friday during a prayer session for the university’s development, the VC advised prospective students and job seekers to await future opportunities. He emphasized that due process was followed in the recruitment of new staff.

Professor Aribisala explained that the new university is designed to produce graduates skilled in technology and environmental solutions. He commended newly recruited staff for quickly adjusting and ensuring student comfort ahead of the commencement of lectures.

He also disclosed that take-off grants approved by President Bola Tinubu will be used for capital projects set to begin next month, with further support expected from the Tertiary Education Trust Fund.

The VC reiterated the institution’s commitment to staff and student welfare, including plans for a transport system, and warned against activities like cultism and unregistered associations.

The event was attended by religious and traditional leaders, including the Oluyin of Iyin Ekiti, Oba Adeola Ajakaiye, who assured students of their safety within the community.

President Tinubu had formally approved the establishment of FUTES in February 2025, with the aim of fostering research, innovation, and national development.
