Gunmen Attack Benue IDP, Kill 30

At least 30 persons have been reported dead after gunmen attacked an internally displaced persons (IDP) camp in Guma LGA of Benue state.

The Benue police spokesperson, Sewuese Anene said the incident happened on Friday night.

On Saturday, the police spokesperson said  the casualty figure is yet to be determined as “our team is on the way to the scene as we speak”.

The incident is the latest in the spate of killings happening in the state.

On Wednesday, an unconfirmed number of persons were killed in an attack by gunmen on Umogidi village of Entekpa-Adoka district of Otukpo LGA.
