IHS Nigeria Empowers Young Volunteers

IHS Nigeria Limited has marked the 2025 International Volunteers Day by training school pupils across five states on community development and volunteerism. The initiative, aimed at instilling values of selfless service and social responsibility, engaged pupils in Lagos, Abuja, Enugu, Kano, and Oyo states.

Speaking at Obele Community High School in Lagos, Sustainability Director Titilope Oguntuga said the program seeks to “catch children young” and prepare them for active community participation. “At IHS Nigeria, we believe sustainability begins with people and strong, empowered communities are built through meaningful connections and acts of kindness,” Oguntuga stated.

The event aimed to nurture a culture of social responsibility from an early age, promoting inclusion, encouragement, and confidence among pupils. “Every child deserves to feel valued, seen, and supported,” Oguntuga added.
