JAMB Registrar Meets CBT Operators, Govt Agencies On Service Delivery
The Registrar of Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, Prof Segun Aina, says the board has held series of engagements with examination stakeholders and government agencies to improve service delivery, strengthen accountability and enhance candidates’ experience.
Aina disclosed this in post on X while reflecting on activities of the board during Global Customer Service Week, themed “Going the Extra Mile”.
He said engagements were aimed at making JAMB more responsive to needs of candidates and other stakeholders.
In what he described as the week’s biggest engagement, Aina said he met with Computer-Based Test, CBT, centre operators nationwide alongside board’s zonal directors and state coordinators to address their concerns and identify ways to improve candidates’ experiences from registration to examination day.
Registrar also held strategic discussions with Accountant-General of Federation on strengthening payroll administration, financial management, remittances and fiscal accountability.
He said meeting with Executive Chairman of Federal Character Commission focused on fairness, equal opportunity and access for Nigerians, with board reaffirming its commitment to federal character principles.
Aina further disclosed that he held talks with Director-General of National Orientation Agency on proposed partnership to combine agency’s grassroots reach with JAMB’s access to millions of young Nigerians.
According to him, collaboration is expected to promote accurate information and examination integrity.
Registrar also announced inauguration of committee to assess underage candidates, adding that he had joined its screening panels, with interviews for 2026 cohort already underway.
He said board had also engaged technology partners, both existing and prospective, to explore solutions that would make its services faster, simpler and more reliable.
Aina said engagements shared common objective of improving board’s operations and strengthening its focus on people it serves.
“Every engagement had one goal: a more responsive, efficient and people-focused JAMB for #ThePeopleWeServe,” he stated.
