Just Like Emefiele, Malami A Public Enemy- Onanuga

The director of media of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign council, Bayo Onanuga has labelled Abubakar Malami, attorney-general of the federation (AGF), as a “public enemy” like Godwin Emefiele, governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

Onanuga made the accusation in a tweet on Wednesday in response to a news report which quoted Malami as saying that his office has asked the supreme court to vacate a suit filed against the deadline for the use of old naira notes.

“Abubakar Malami is also a public enemy like Emefiele,” he tweeted.

A seven-member panel of the apex court led by John Okoro, a justice, restrained the federal government from banning the use of the old naira notes from February 10.

The court granted the relief in an ex parte application filed by Kaduna, Kogi, and Zamfara states.
