Kano Gov, Abba Yusuf urges commitment as NNPP elects new national leaders

Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State has urged the newly elected national leaders of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) to remain committed, hard working, and inclusive.

This is contained in a statement issued by his spokesperson, Sunusi Dawakin-Tofa in Kano on Saturday.

Yusuf made the call at the inauguration ceremony of the newly elected national executives of the NNPP in Abuja, reaffirming the party’s commitment to good governance, citizens’ welfare and democratic principles.

He called on the party’s members to embrace unity, loyalty, and dedication to achieve collective aspirations.

Sen. Rabiu Kwankwaso, NNPP National Leader, charged the re-elected executives to strive for greater electoral success.

The convention attracted party leaders and delegates from the 36 states and FCT, underscoring its significance to the party’s future.

NNPP on Saturday re-elected Dr Ahmed Ajuji as its National Chairman. Ajuji was re-elected unopposed through voice votes at the party’s National Convention held in Abuja.

The convention, which was monitored by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), also witnessed the return of Dipo Olayoku as National Secretary, alongside other national officials, all of whom were elected unopposed.
