Kogi State High Court Judge, Justice Yahaya Adamu, Dies
The Kogi State Government has announced the passing of Justice Yahaya Adamu of the State High Court.
A statement released on Saturday by the state’s Information Commissioner, Kingsley Fanwo, confirmed the development. The commissioner described the late judge as a respected figure in the judiciary, known for his dedication to justice, integrity, and the rule of law.
According to the statement, Justice Adamu’s contributions to the administration of justice in Kogi State earned him widespread respect within the legal community and beyond. It added that during his illness, every effort was made to ensure he received the best possible medical care.
“Despite these interventions, his passing remains a painful and profound loss to his family, the judiciary, and the entire State,” the commissioner noted.
Governor Usman Ododo mourned the late jurist, describing him as a reputable voice in the temple of justice. The governor stated that Justice Adamu’s experience, wisdom, and commitment to fairness would be deeply missed, while his legacy of service would continue to inspire future generations in the legal profession.
The government extended condolences to the deceased’s family, the Kogi State Judiciary, and all who were touched by his life of service, praying for the eternal rest of his soul and comfort for those mourning him.
