Nigerian Female DJ Sets to Break Guinness World Record with 288 hours of Play
DJ Pretty Play, a Nigerian female disk jockey is set to attempt the Guinness World Record (GWR) for the longest marathon club DJ-ing, aiming to play non-stop for 288 hours approximately 12 days.
The record-breaking feat will run from Tuesday, March 3rd at 7pm WAT to Saturday, March 14th, 2026.
The event will take place at Bay Lounge, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos, where Pretty Play will showcase her skills and entertainment live audiences and online viewers. The attempt is officially recognised by Guinness World Records as the “Longest Marathon Club DJ-ing Attempt”.
Pretty Play’s goal as disclosed, is to become the first female DJ in Nigeria and Africa to achieve this milestone, pushing the limits of stamina and music performance. The marathon will be monitored by GWR officials to ensure compliance with record guidelines.
The current holder of the Guinness World Record for the Longest Marathon Club DJ-ing is Fabrizio Morero, known as DJ Faber Moreira from Italy.
He achieved 244 hours, 2 minutes, and 16 seconds over 10 days in Saluzzo, Cuneo, Italy, from May 15 to May 26, 2024. This broke the previous record held by Polish DJ Norberto Loco at 200 hours back in 2014 by about 44 hours
