NNPCL Partners PINL to Boost Oil Production to 2.06m Barrels Daily

The Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPCL) is working closely with surveillance companies like Pipeline Infrastructure Nigeria Limited (PINL) to achieve its target of producing 2.06 million barrels of crude oil per day by 2026.
Speaking at a stakeholders’ meeting in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, NNPCL’s Head of Field Operations, Eastern Corridor, Akponime Omojevwhe, stated that the partnership with PINL has led to unhindered production on the Trans Niger Pipeline.
Omojevwhe said the company’s projection for 2026 is 2.06 million barrels per day, with a budgeted benchmark of 1.84 million barrels per day, adding that the synergy between PINL and host communities has been key to achieving this goal.
PINL has promised to advocate for more development in host communities, arguing that this would help reduce vandalism and oil theft. The company’s General Manager, Community Relations and Stakeholder Engagement, Dr. Akpos Mezeh, said the decision to push for more development follows requests from several communities.
Mezeh stated that PINL will review its progress in fighting pipeline vandalism and crude oil theft, and celebrate stakeholders for their support in sustaining the country’s economic stability.
The Chairman of Ijaw National Congress, Central Zone, Chief Moses Theophilus, praised PINL for its impactful services in reducing vandalism, oil theft, and environmental pollution in the region.
